Huckleberry Finn Essay Throughout the adventures of Huck fin it is easy to see that Huck is a heroic figure. Many times through this book Huck show himself to be a hero, for not only his actions but his willingness to change his in his attitude. In every chapter you can pot a few instantaneous were Huck is beginning to change becoming more like a hero. But this challenging for Huck because he was brought up in an abusive household where he was perpetually beaten to the point where he thought that it was average thing. But he still manages to show him self as a genuine hero. He shows this by the manner he cares for not his slave but his friend Jim. In this moment Huck has a moralistic crisis whether to turn Jim he thinks this because by helping Jim is like stealing. Jim somehow persuades Huck not to turn him but not knowing that he unintentionally changed Huck’s mind. On The river Huck and Jim run into Bounty Hunters looking form Jim the Bounty Hunter ask Huck if the man on his Raft is black or white and he says white saving Jim from being captured. Huck here had the opportunity to turn Jim over and clear his conscience but as an alternative made up a false story about how his father was sick and how he needed assistance they then think his father has smallpox’s then the bounty hunters want nothing to do with him and Huck and his â€Å"dad†. Huck actually feels terrible for lying to the Bounty hunters even tho they were after Jim showing Huck’s old character and the old world he grew up in he thinks that the bounty Hunters are good. But Huck’s loyalties are with Jim making him a hero and Huck feels some what dandy for helping Jim escape the bounty hunters. And when he and Jim crash on a steamboat and discover a ruthless band of cutthroats and Huck has the courage to attempt and stop the cutthroats. He had the courage to stop a band of numerous murderous criminals. This is the beginning of Huck showing that we wants to do the right thing showing that he is a true hero. He also
